“I’ve never seen such openness to the Christmas story from people with different backgrounds,” commented Pastor Matt Hattabough from GoChurch, a Pentecostal church based in Beirut.

In December, GoChurch hired a well-known movie theatre, where it ran a multimedia Christmas outreach for a week. 5,000 people visited, stepping into the Christmas story via screens and sounds all around them.
Even though GoChurch has been actively reaching out into their community for years, including running Alpha, they were surprised at people’s reaction.
“We’ve had more than 300 registrations for Alpha – at this rate we will need to find a bigger location to meet next year!” said Pastor Matt. One young girl was so moved that gave her life to Jesus while at the event.
“Praise God for all that’s happening here despite the situation!” says Nour Kassir, Alpha Lebanon Coordinator.
