In 2024, Alpha Gulf’s ministry grew significantly, with more than 100 churches running Alpha, reaching around 10,000 people. A pastor of one church in Abu Dhabi which started running Alpha in 2024 shares how it has already impacted his congregation.
After attending three Alpha sessions in 2023, led by Alpha Gulf, Senior Pastor Dante Diamond from Vision Community Global Ministries (VCGM) in Abu Dhabi adopted Alpha as the church’s primary outreach and discipleship resource, running 19 Alphas in 2024.
“The results were remarkable,” shares Pastor Dante. “The first Alpha and Alpha Youths we ran were mostly attended by our members, but very quickly we started to welcome new visitors as congregation members began inviting neighbours and colleagues.

“Looking at our numbers for the last few months, we are excited to have seen 120 worshippers attending our services for the first time, the vast majority after attending Alpha, and about half of those attend regularly.”
As well as continuing to run Alpha, the church is planning to launch The Marriage Course and The Parenting Course to strengthen families in both the church and the wider community. Alpha Gulf is in conversation with VCGM’s sister church in Dubai to launch Alpha there, too.
